Condolences
Greg Stout Friend November 22, 2011

Marta..... My condolences to you and your family, but what a joy in Pat's home coming.  Is not this what we eagerly anticipate...the blessed hope?!!!  Take comfort in his new address...it's on streets of gold.
We will not find it in the R.L. Polk City directory!......but  merely look in the Lamb's Book of Life.
Grateful for Dr. Pat's service to God and the Christian family.  Thoughts and prayers go to you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.  I remember sitting in Dr. Pat's office at MUMC for marriage counciling before my wedding 28 years ago.  He was such a kind man and will be greatly missed.

Dearest Marta and family'

We send our love and prayers to you and the family. Sorry we are out of state and were not able to be with you this past week.  We were priveleged to have known Pat and are forever indebted for the role he played in the development of the Christian lives of our  family.  As our daughter, Linda Menold, wrote, Pat gave us an understanding of having a personal relatonship with Christ and the joy it brings.
I was in a leadership position the the Methodist Church and it was a blessing to have worked with Pat and see the impact he had on the church and the community.  Great memories. Love to you all.

Dear Marta and Family,

We want you to know you have our deepest sympathies!  I don't even know where to begin as to the impact Dr. Pat had in our lives.  As for Linda, he was instrumental in leading me to Christ.   I had always loved the Lord but Dr. Pat taught me about having a personal relationship and what that looked like to live it for Him!  I am ever so grateful and humbled by his love for the Lord and the way God spoke through him to those around him.   He was a blessing in my life and I will never forget him.  He helped begin the Divorced Christian group which is still in existence today!   What a blessing!  Because of his inspiration, I am leading a DivorceCare class today and am ever so humbled how God can help those hurting from divorce with hope for a new beginning.  Dr. Pat was also a great mentor to both of us in our marriage!   He helped us begin our lives together with a great base of loving the Lord!  Our love and prayers go out to all of you in the family and know that because of his love for God, he touched many lives!

To Dr. Pat's family,
We were blessed to have Dr. Pat as our Paster at MUMC in the 80s when our children were growing up.  He was such a wonderful example of a true Christian.  We loved his bible Sunday School classes, and he made the scriptures speak to us. He was a great teacher. He was our oldest son's Confirmation pastor, and I credit him with our son's faith to this day.  Thank you for sharing this wonderful  Godly man with our family.
Blessings to you all.

My husband and I met Pat at a Christmas party probably 10 years ago and visited with him and his wife. He seemed like such a nice man. I had heard many good things about him and continued to hear them after meeting hm. Our sympathy to the family.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family.  I enjoyed working with Dr. Pat and Miss Marta at South Side Mission.  Dr. Pat was a great help to me when my son was injured in a fall in Texas.  I have missed both of you.  Your family is in my prayers.

Dear Marta and Family,

My deepest sympathy on the loss of Dr. Pat. He played a large role in our family back in the 70's and early 80's, especially with my two children Jodi and Sean. He was more than just our pastor he was our friend. I many times talked to Pat for life direction and sometimes I followed and other times I didn't, but Pat was always right. I also remember when he first came to Morton our attendance at United Methodist exploded, I believe due to his being a great teacher and a great down to earth person. Again, my sympathies to you and your family.

I found Dr. Pat to be a kind and gracious man. I am a member of Limestone Fire Dept., and over the years we have had many calls to the South Side Mission. We had many rescue calls and a lot of fire alarm calls, most of which were system troubles. Day or night (or middle of the night), every interaction with Dr. Pat was a marvelous experience. There was no doubt what he stood for and he certainly lived the example of what we all should aspire to be. I feel that the world has lost a great role model, servant of God and advocate for the community he served.  To Dr. Pat's family, we share your grief.
