I echo Jodi's comments! Dr. Pat had such a positive influence through my teenage years. He had a the gift to convey the Lord's word in a language us teenagers could understand. He then lived it through many trips to Appalachia. I recall one trip in particular whereby I was on Dr Pat's work crew where he allowed a couple of us to install a window in a the home we were working on. We broke the window trying to install it. Dr. Pat remained calm and on the next day he took charge to install the replacement window only to have it break on him. I will never forget all of us looking at him and he responding in a gentle tone that we will buy a new window and install it the next day. The third time it was a success! Simple story but it represents my memories of Dr Pat. He put his true emotions aside to teach/show us how we should deal with adversity. He was a great man who influenced many of us as to how we lead our lives to this day. Thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
